Jill joined Riverbend in 2018, bringing 14 years of experience as an educator in university and high school classrooms. In her role as Education Specialist, Jill works to ensure that Riverbend’s programs model high-quality, best-practice environmental and science education. She develops programming for students and teachers, and directs Riverbend’s Nature-Based STEM Community of Practice. Jill graduated from Georgetown University (BA, English), Vanderbilt University (MDiv, environmental ethics), and the University of Pennsylvania (PhD, American literature), and is a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist. Jill is committed to repairing and nurturing the relationship between children and nature so that both may flourish.
