Rachel joined Riverbend as a Part-Time Educator in September 2024. Having previously worked in various capacities for food security and community environmental organizations throughout Philadelphia, they are excited to bring their personal and professional passion for plants, people, and the environment to Riverbend, where they will continue to develop their experience in environmental education and stewardship. Rachel loves the natural world for the sense of wonder, belonging, connection, and empowerment it can inspire, and they are especially excited to help foster these feelings in young learners. Originally from Chicago, Rachel moved to Pennsylvania to attend Bryn Mawr College, where they graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Studies in 2023.
